Grassington is a charming village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and makes and ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside. 

Facilities. Grassington has a lovely selection of shops and facilities, from groceries to galleries for local artists, florists to country clothing.  There is also a National Park visitors centre which provides information on the area.  The Village is serviced by a regular buses to both Skipton, Ilkley and to villages up Wharfedale.  In addition to 3 cosy pubs there are cafes and restaurants to eat in and plenty of atmosphere to soak up.

Dickensian Festivals Each year, on  three December Saturdays before Christmas Grassington goes  back to the time of Dickens. 2008 dates are 29th November and 6th and 13th December. Thousands of visitors come to enjoy the markets, traditional entertainment and good old fashioned fun which includes a torchlight nativity procession early each evening and a fun concert each evening at the Town Hall.

Farmers Markets on the third Sunday of every month you will find a good selection of delicious food from the local area in the market held in the Village Square.
