The Yorkshire Dales is a special place and has been attracting visitors for years. People come to enjoy the unspoilt, dramatic scenery and peaceful atmosphere.
Whatever you enjoy, the National Park provides opportunities such as walking, cycling, discovering heritage sites, watching wildlife. There is an amazing network of footpaths, cycle/bridle ways through fields surrounded by dry stone walls, moorland and woodland and along banks of rivers and streams. There are stunning views, geological wonders and evidence of old industries such as lead-mining.
